Hi everyone so I'm terrible at keeping up to date with this kind of thing but I really feel that I need to keep in touch with all the lovely people who visit my website.
At the moment I'm slightly cooking in the summer weather trying to come up with new ideas for pieces of work. Inspiration is genuinely the hardest part of my day to day I want to stay relevant and interesting to all of you. This is why I paint the natural world it is a never ending source of amazing resources. Beautiful colours and textures as well as the idea of informing the world of the spectacular animals and plants that are out there, sometimes just in your back garden. I live on the river so outside of my front window is water, a Kingfisher flew past me the other day and I'm trying to befriend a Pied Wagtail that keeps bobbing on the front rails. He won't stay still long enough for me to take a photo as yet but I'm hoping. I'm especially passionate about painting birds, there is such massive variety just in the part of the country I live in, so adaptive and clever. There is a Jackdaw that croaks on the roof of the house opposite to me, he occasionally comes to the front of my boat looking for food opportunities, I put out some grapes but until I cut them in half he wasn't interested. So now they've go me cutting up grapes for them like a human slave, I wouldn't have it any other way though as it never fails to bring me great joy to see them so up close and personal. I really need to be better prepared in getting my camera ready though to capture them in action.
I'll sign off now and try and paint some more before the urge for an ice lolly overcomes me.
Feel free to message me through the website and subscribe so you can keep up to date with what I'm up to.
